Review Status
The Review Status tab is your monitoring dashboard for the whole review pipeline — track reviewers, Area Chairs, and (if enabled) Senior Area Chairs across three read-only sub-tabs, with red dots flagging reports and escalations that need your attention.
Purpose
The Review Status tab is the command center for watching how the review process is progressing — who has bid, who has been assigned, who has finished, and who is falling behind. It groups three sub-tabs, each focused on one tier of your committee:
- Reviewer Status — bidding, assignment, review progress, and workload distribution for your reviewers.
- AC Status — paper load, meta-review progress, bidding, and workload for your Area Chairs, plus a Reports view for conflict reports, reassignment requests, and escalations.
- SAC Status — AC-to-SAC assignments, workload, and bidding for your Senior Area Chairs, plus an Escalations view. This sub-tab only appears when your program has Senior Area Chairs enabled.
This tab appears in Full tier programs running the Direct review mode. The sub-tabs are read-only dashboards — the one place you can take action is on AC reports and SAC escalations (mark read, resolve).
When you use it
Open Review Status throughout the review period to keep the pipeline moving: check who hasn't bid before bidding closes, watch the completion rate as the review deadline approaches, and act on conflict reports and escalations as they arrive. The tab surfaces a red dot when there are unread AC reports or SAC escalations waiting for you.
Walkthrough
- 1
Open the Program Chair Console and select the program you want to manage (if you chair more than one), then click the Review Status tab.
- 2
Use the sub-tab bar to choose Reviewer Status, AC Status, or SAC Status. The tab opens on Reviewer Status. SAC Status is shown only when your program uses Senior Area Chairs.
- 3
Watch for the small red dot on AC Status and SAC Status — it means there are unread Area Chair reports or SAC escalations. Open that sub-tab and go to its Reports or Escalations section to act.
- 4
Within each sub-tab, switch between its sections (for example, Bidding, Assignment, Review Progress, Workload) to drill into the stage you care about. See each sub-tab's help page for full details.
Tips
The red dots on the AC Status and SAC Status sub-tabs update in real time. They mark unread conflict reports, reassignment requests, and escalations — treat them as your to-do queue.
The SAC Status sub-tab only appears when your program has Senior Area Chairs enabled. If your program has just reviewers and Area Chairs, you'll see only Reviewer Status and AC Status.
