Overview

What Conference Leadership can do on AirBalloon and where to start — from creating the conference through running registration, the program, and proceedings.

As Conference Leadership, you own the conference end to end: its configuration, its people, its money, its program, and its published output. Most of that work happens in the Conference Leadership Console.

What you can do

  1. 1

Set up the conference — core information, mode, policies, branding, and the important dates that drive every phase.

  2. 2

Build your team — invite committee members and grant the roles that let chairs, reviewers, and staff do their jobs.

  3. 3

Run registration & payments — open registration, manage refunds and exemptions, and connect your payment account.

  4. 4

Reach your audience — post announcements, manage channels, and publish your conference website.

  5. 5

Run the program — organize sessions, venues, time slots, keynotes, and the overall schedule in the Presentation System.

  6. 6

Publish proceedings — compile and release the conference's published output.

Where to start

If you're setting up a new conference, begin with Setting up your conference, then the Conference Leadership Console for everything that follows.

One console for most tasks

Almost everything Conference Leadership does lives in the Conference Leadership Console. If you're not sure where a setting lives, start there.
