Senior Area Chair Console

The Senior Area Chair (SAC) Console is your workspace for overseeing a group of Area Chairs (ACs) and the papers in your area of a program. It opens at /console/senior-area-chair.
When you open the console it first shows a program selection grid — one card per program where you hold a Senior Area Chair role. Each card shows the program name, your SAC# badge, the conference, and headline stats: number of Area Chairs, papers in your area, and the average reviewer-affinity score. Pick a card to open that program's workspace. (If you hold no SAC roles yet, you'll see a "No SAC Assignments" message instead.)
Once you select a program, the header shows your role and live AC and paper counts, and the five tabs appear.
Purpose
Give a Senior Area Chair one place to monitor the Area Chairs they supervise, keep reviews moving, see the decisions being made on papers in the area, manage issues that need attention, and assess papers nominated for awards.
When you use it
- When you supervise several Area Chairs and need a single view of their workload and progress.
- To find papers that are short on reviews and follow up before deadlines.
- To watch the decisions flowing in for papers in your area.
- To triage escalations raised by your ACs and pass the serious ones up to the Program Chair.
- To review and weigh in on Best Paper nominations.
The tabs

My ACs — the Area Chairs you supervise, each with their paper load, review and meta-review progress, and an on-track / behind / critical status, expandable to the papers under each AC.

Review Progress — a paper-level view of review completion across your ACs' papers, flagging which papers still need reviews.

Decisions — a read-only list of the accept/reject decisions approved or released for papers in your program, with average scores and your own recommendation alongside.

Escalations — issues raised by your Area Chairs (plus ones you raise yourself) that you can resolve, reopen, or escalate to the Program Chair.

Award Candidates — papers nominated for Best Paper by your Area Chairs, where you record your own support recommendation for the Program Chairs.
Tips
Selecting a program lands you on My ACs. Use it as your home base: it's where you'll spot ACs who are behind, then jump to Review Progress to see exactly which papers are short on reviews.
The console figures out your ACs from explicit SAC→AC assignments first. If none exist, it falls back to Area Chairs flagged with you as their assigned SAC, and finally to all Area Chairs in the program — so you may see every AC if no assignments have been made yet.
