Creating an account
How to sign up, verify your email, and complete your profile so you can submit papers, review, or organize a conference.
You can create an account in a couple of minutes. The same account works across every conference on AirBalloon — you don't need a separate login per event.
If a Program Chair or Conference Leader invited you to a conference, follow the link in your invitation email — it will create the account for you and add you to the conference automatically.
- 1
Go to the AirBalloon home page and click Sign Up.
- 2
Enter your name, email address, and a password. Use the email address your colleagues and conferences are most likely to know you by.
- 3
Open the verification email and click the confirmation link. If you don't see it within a minute or two, check your spam folder.
- 4
Sign in. You will be taken to My Dashboard, your personal landing page across all conferences.
Complete your profile
A complete profile makes a big difference for reviewer matching, author identification, and conference networking. Add:
- Affiliation and title — the institution you want listed on submissions.
- ORCID — strongly recommended; many conferences require it for authors.
- Areas of expertise — used by Program Chairs when assigning reviews.
- Profile photo and short bio — visible on your public profile.
You can update these any time from the Profile page.
Sign-in options
- Email and password — the default.
- Federated sign-in (where enabled) — your institutional SSO or a supported identity provider.
Trouble signing in?
- Forgot your password? Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page; we will email you a reset link.
- Didn't receive the verification email? From the sign-in page, request a new one. If your address has a typo, sign up again with the correct one — accounts that never verify are cleaned up automatically.
- Locked out? Contact your conference's organizers, or AirBalloon support if it's a platform-level issue.
