Dashboard
Your at-a-glance view of the program — assignment stats, a pending-approvals alert, quick actions, and an assignment progress bar.
Purpose
The Dashboard is the landing tab when you open a program in the Area Chair Console. It summarizes your workload so you can see, in one glance, how many papers you hold, how reviewer assignment is progressing, and what needs your attention next.
When you use it
- Every time you open the console, to orient yourself before diving into a tab.
- To check whether papers are waiting on your approval.
- To gauge how far reviewer assignment has progressed for your papers.
Walkthrough
- 1
Open the Area Chair Console and select your program card. You land on the Dashboard.
- 2
Read My Assignment Overview — four tiles: AC Papers, Reviewers Assigned (shown as assigned out of papers × 3), Avg Affinity, and Total Conflicts. If you have inherited conflicts, a note breaks them into conflicts from your SAC plus your own.
- 3
If a yellow papers need your attention alert appears, click Review Now to jump straight to the Reviewer Assignments tab and clear the pending approvals.
- 4
Use Quick Actions to jump to View My Papers (the Reviews & Meta tab) or Suggest Reviewers.
- 5
Check the Assignment Progress bar for the percentage of reviewer slots filled. Click the question-mark icon to see how the percentage is calculated.
Tips
The progress bar is reviewers assigned ÷ (your AC papers × 3) × 100% — it assumes three reviewers per paper and counts assignments that are ASSIGNED or COMPLETED. Open the help icon next to Assignment Progress for a worked example.
Every tile is scoped to the single program you selected. Switch programs from the back button to see another area's numbers.
