Decisions
See the accept/reject decisions for the papers in your program, with each paper's outcome, score, and release status.
Purpose
The Decisions tab shows the accept/reject outcomes for your program. As an Area Chair you have full visibility into every decision in the program, so you can see how the papers you handled — and the rest of the area — were resolved. Each row shows the decision type (Accept, Conditional, Reject, Desk Reject, Workshop transfer, format downgrade, and so on), the paper's average score, your own recommendation where you made one, and whether the decision has been released to authors.
When you use it
- After decisions are made, to confirm the outcomes for the papers you shepherded.
- To check whether a decision has been released to authors yet.
- To review the spread of accepts and rejects across your area.
Walkthrough
- 1
Open the Area Chair Console, select your program, and click Decisions.
- 2
Review the list of papers and their decision labels. Use the All / Accept / Reject filter to focus on one side of the outcome.
- 3
For each paper, check the average score, your recommendation, and the release status to see whether authors have been notified.
- 4
Open a paper from its row to revisit its reviews and your meta-review alongside the decision.
Tips
The accept/reject decision itself is the PC Chair's to make and release. This tab is your read-only window into those outcomes — to influence them, make sure your meta-review and recommendation are in on the Reviews & Meta tab.
A decision that is decided but not yet released has not reached the authors. If authors ask, the release status here tells you whether the news has gone out.
