Review Config

Set the review configuration every sub-program starts from, in Settings, Review Config of the Multi-Program Chair Console.

Last updated: 2026-10-28

Purpose

Settings → Review Config is the same Review Configuration a Program Chair has in the Program Chair Console, set once on your Multi-Program. Its values are the defaults of every sub-program:

  • Review Mode, AI reports, Minimum Reviews Per Paper.
  • Max Papers Per Reviewer: a sub-program that leaves it empty follows the Multi-Program's number (and the Multi-Program follows the conference's when it leaves it empty). It is looked up, not copied, so a change here reaches every sub-program without its own number at once.
  • Committee Structure: Senior Area Chairs, Area Chairs (and whether they review or assign reviewers), Ethics Chair.
  • Review Commitment Requirement.
  • Blind Review, Review Forms and Decisions.
  • The Desk Rejection policy.
  • Review Reminders: the days before the review deadline when reviewers who have not submitted get an email (off unless you turn it on).

Sub-program chairs can change any of these in their own Settings → Review Config.

When you use it

  • Before workshops start reviewing, so every workshop starts from the same setup.
  • To change a setting for all workshops at once.

Walkthrough

  1. 1

Open the Multi-Program Chair Console, select your Multi-Program, and open Settings → Review Config.

  2. 2

Sections start folded; click a title to open it, or use Expand all. Set each section as in the Program Chair Console (see the Program Chair Settings help) and click Save Review Config. The message after saving says how many sub-programs took the new values.

  3. 3

In Review Forms, Preview the templates, click New review form or Copy and edit to build a form, and Set as default. Your forms save at once and every sub-program can use them.

Tips

How the defaults pass down

A new sub-program starts with your values. When you save a change, each sub-program that still has your old value takes the new one. A value its chairs changed themselves stays as they set it. Blind review, the default review form and the decisions are followed directly: a sub-program shows Same as your Multi-Program until its chairs pick their own.

Committee seats follow

When a change to SAC can review submissions or AC can review submissions reaches a sub-program, the Senior Area Chairs and Area Chairs already seated there get the new permission too.
